Opening JAfro II, “Covid and All That Jazz” is my musical reflection on one of the most unsettling periods in recent history. Composed in the aftermath of the pandemic, the piece captures the uncertainty, isolation, and emotional turbulence that defined those years, while also celebrating the resilience and hope that emerged through music and human connection.
It features Mas Koga’s bamboo flute performance.
